“25 years from now, if we can’t remember this then we have forgotten this beautiful moment. Who we said we’d become, our promise to each other, swearing to friends – we will NEVER forget.
See our lives, the men we want to be and will be. To forget this feeling is to fail and if we forget it, we die as one.”
- I Melt With You -
I didn’t think there’d ever be another film to leave me as emotionally drained as I was after I watched “Never Let Me Go”. I was SO wrong!
I’m actually stunned to a point, where (for now) I can’t even give a proper review.
If you get the chance (it’s on Netflix as far as I know) WATCH THIS MOVIE!
It is polarizing, I’m sure many people will miss the point - that’s probably why this film didn’t do so well.
"I Melt With You" is very bold, very vivid, even a little disturbing and it has actually left me reduced to tears.
The cinematography is brilliant - I loved everything about it! The actors give painfully raw and heartbreakingly moving performances - as far as the storyline goes: I could have very well done without the cop. And that’s as far as I’ll go with spoilers (if that even was one)…
Other than that, I can say that this is my favourite film of 2012 (so far… but it’s not long until “The Dark Knight Rises”).
